Exploring Arashiyama in KIMONO

One of the highlights in Kyoto was a place called Arashiyama, a 30minute trip from the centre. We left our heart there for reason. You know when you google Kyoto, you get this pictures of vibrantly green bamboo, this is the place. Standing amid these soaring stalks of bamboo is like being in another world.

Among others, the place is filled with temples and shrines, whre I was fully committed to embrace their traditional culture, including its fashion and their comfortable slipar jipun.  I learned that what I was wearing is called Yukata, which is a less formal and simpler than a Kimono.
